Lady Gaga is kicking 2011 off with a bang. The singer shared with her little monsters that, come New Year's Eve, she will have a special announcement for her loyal fans about her upcoming album, Born This Way.

She tweeted over the weekend: "Merry Christmas little monsters! I love you with all my heart. My gift to you is a BORN THIS WAY announcement Midnight on NEW YEARS EVE. -MM."

The Mother Monster didn't reveal anything else about the announcement but did react to a fan-made video sending Christmas love to the superstar. "This is so darling!" she wrote. "You make me so happy, Im sending you monster kisses!"

Gaga had always planned to end 2010 on a high note. She shared with Rolling Stone back in June that she had every intention of making an announcement on New Year's Eve, even if what she had planned to announce was pre-empted. "I think I'm gonna get the album title tattooed on me and put out the photo," she said of her plans six months ago. "I've been working on it for months now, and I feel very strongly that it's finished right now. It came so quickly. Some artists take years; I don't. I write music every day."

Since she already revealed her album title at the VMAs, what she plans to announce on New Year's Eve is a mystery, but we're sure her fans are counting down the moments.

Gaga recently shared that the album will be her "most innovative." A single is expected in February, and the album will follow shortly thereafter.

"[The album is] a marriage of electronic music with major, epic, dare I even say, metal or rock and roll, pop, anthemic style melodies with really sledge-hammering dance beats," Gaga said. "I think that lyrically this album is more poetic ... It's really written by the fans, they really wrote it for me because every night they're funneling so much into me. So I wrote it for them. Born This Way is all about my little monsters and me, mother monster."

Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift Top Charitable Celebs List

DoSomething.org announces its 2010 'Celebs Gone Good' roundup.

MTV News already recognized Lady Gaga as being the most important Woman of the Year (and our most fashionable), but we weren't the only ones taking notice: DoSomething.org listed their top 20 most charitable celebrities of 2010, and unsurprisingly, Gaga took the #1 spot.

DoSomething helps young people develop causes they care about, and the organization said Gaga represented that spirit this year more than any other artist. From calling for an end to the military's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy (which was recently repealed) to hosting a "Hands Up for Marriage Equality" event, Gaga focused on helping others.

Fellow pop star Alicia Keys was #2 on the "Celebs Gone Good" list. As the founder of Keep a Child Alive, Keys worked harder than ever to provide AIDS treatment worldwide and raised $1.1 million with her Digital Death Campaign, thanks to the help of celebrities such as Gaga, Kim Kardashian, Usher and Justin Timberlake.

Coming after Keys on the list was America's newest sweetheart Taylor Swift, who earned her spot by donating $500,000 to relief efforts after Nashville flooded earlier this year, as well as by joining Scholastic's READ NOW program to promote literacy.

Rounding out the top five were Ashton Kutcher and his wife, Demi Moore, who launched the DNA Foundation to help stop child sex trafficking and met with world leaders to end slavery worldwide, and Ellen DeGeneres, who teamed up with the Trevor Project to combat bullying and raised more than $150,000 for LGBT people struggling with mental-health issues.

Nick Jonas came onto the list at #6 thanks to his becoming the National Chair for "Walk to Cure Diabetes" as well as his portion of the Jonas Brothers' Change for the Children Foundation.

Matt Damon placed #7 for his Water.org organization, while Leonardo DiCaprio was #8 for donating $1 million to the tiger-preservation foundation Save Tigers Now.

Oprah was #9, and Justin Bieber snuck into 10th place after dedicating a music video to children battling illness worldwide and donating $150,000 to a Buffalo, New York, hospital. He also worked with Pencils of Promise to build schools and increase education opportunities for less-fortunate children, and dedicated $1 of every concert ticket sold to the organization.

Shakira, Betty White, Eva Longoria, Sophia Bush, Alyssa Milano, Sandra Bullock, Wyclef Jean, Prince William, Stephen Colbert and AnnaLynne McCord were the other 10 celebrities recognized for their charitable efforts this year.

After debuting his recent buzz cut and his own charitable efforts, it looks like "Charlie St. Cloud" star Zac Efron might be making a run to place on next year's list.

Who do you think was the most charitable celeb in 2010? Tell us in the comments below!

Drake In 'Tip-Top Shape' For Take Care, Boi-1da Says

'Lyrically, he's gotten better,' producer tells Vibe magazine.

Drake wasn't kidding when he said he'd been "compiling some great raps" for his new album, Take Care — just ask the project's collaborator/producer Boi-1da. In a recent interview with Vibe magazine, the hip-hop hitmaker — who worked heavily on Drizzy's Thank Me Later and Keri Hilson's recent effort — spoke about how impressed he was with the Toronto MC's lyrical flow on the sophomore effort.

"Man, 2011 is going to be a good year for music," Boi-1da told Vibe. "Drake's in tip-top shape, and what's amazed me is that lyrically, he's gotten better. He was already an outstanding lyricist, but now I'm just in anticipation of what people are going to think when they hear his new music."

The producer also revealed he gave Lil Wayne some beats for the rapper's next project, Tha Carter IV.

Boi-1da said Drake is trying to prove his credibility as a rapper more than as an R&B vocalist, saying the MC's bars speak for themselves. "I know a lot of people had criticized him for singing," the producer acknowledged, "but I think he's just coming back to show people why they fell in love with him, like, 'Did you forget about me?' And it's really coming out in his raps. It's something I can't even really explain."

Based on recent interviews, it seems as if the Toronto star is focused on making his sophomore effort much more than your average album.

"Take Care is its own mission," he said during an appearance on Shade 45's morning show. "I'm really going back to the So Far Gone where, first of all, as much as the label and people are fighting me, I'm not doing 14 songs, 'cause it doesn't give me enough. I want to do interludes, transitions and different moments. I have an overabundance. I've never had this many raps."

Beyonce Inspired By Michael Jackson, Lauryn Hill For New Album

'I'm mixing every type of genre that I love,' singer says of follow-up to I Am ... Sasha Fierce.

Recently Beyoncé revealed that she wants to make her "own genre of music" for her next album. So when MTV News caught up with the singer at the New York screening of her concert special, "I Am ... World Tour," we asked her to clarify what exactly it is that she's creating in the studio.

"Well, I wouldn't say I'm inventing a new genre," she said. "I'm mixing every type of genre that I love and I'm inspired by every type of genre."

Beyoncé went on to say that people should throw any preconceived notions about the follow-up to 2008's I Am ... Sasha Fierce out the window. "I'm not in a box," she said. "It's not R&B. It's not typically pop. It's not rock. It's just everything I love all mixed together in my own little gumbo of music."

The singer says that quite a motley crew of musicians have inspired the album. "Definitely Fela Kuti, the Stylistics. How random, right?" she laughed. "So many people ... Lauryn Hill, Stevie Wonder, of course, Michael Jackson's Off the Wall ... all of those things I'm kind of mixing together."

For the album, Beyoncé has been hitting the studio with many of her usual collaborators including Ne-Yo, Sean Garrett and Jim Jonsin. And her mom, Tina Knowles, has given the tracks she's heard so far her seal of approval, saying, "Of course [I heard it]. It's amazing. It's so amazing!"

Mary J. Blige Dishes On Her 'Crazy' Led Zeppelin Covers

You wouldn't peg Mary J Blige as the black-light-and-tapestry sort, but, as has become readily apparent in recent weeks, she absolutely loves Led Zeppelin.

In early February, reports began circulating that Blige had re-recorded Zeppelin's classic "Stairway to Heaven," working with Travis Barker, "American Idol" judge Randy Jackson and guitarist Steve Vai on the track, which is slated to appear on the international reissue of her Stronger With Each Tear album, due Monday.

But after she had recorded "Stairway," Blige continued to get the Led out, covering another Zeppelin classic — the thunderous "Whole Lotta Love" — for the album too. And when MTV News caught up with her on the Essence Black Women in Hollywood red carpet, she told us all about channeling her inner Robert Plant for the tracks, a process that came much easier than you'd probably imagine.

"I did Led Zeppelin's 'Stairway to Heaven' and 'Whole Lotta Love' — it's crazy," she said. "I am a Led Zeppelin fan. I'm not going to say I've been to their concerts, but I've listened to their music since I was a child, and it's always moved me, especially 'Stairway to Heaven,' and 'Whole Lotta Love' is just fun."

Blige also said she recorded another new song — a "club record" called "I Can't Wait" — for the re-release. And while it's only slated to hit shelves outside the U.S., she hopes her fans will get a chance to hear all the new songs pretty soon.

"I want y'all to hear it," she laughed.

'Little Fockers' Cast On What They Missed Most Since Last Movie

'For me, it's always exciting to come to work with Mr. DeNiro,' Ben Stiller says of his co-star.

It's hard to believe that it's been six years since audiences were treated to a Fockers film. "Meet the Fockers," the sequel to "Meet the Parents," was released in 2004. Even more difficult to believe is that it's been a full decade since the original opened in 2000. With the arrival of the third installment in the franchise, "Little Fockers," opening Wednesday (December 22), we wanted to know what the castmembers missed most about each other during their long six years away from the Focker and Byrnes families.

"Cuddling," Dustin Hoffman, who plays Ben Stiller's father Bernie Focker, joked. "We hadn't cuddled for six years."

"Cuddling, that was a good one," Owen Wilson agreed. "There's something about this guy, I can't keep my eyes off him ... my hands off him. You just want to hug him."

"Owen and I work very similarly together," Hoffman explained of their affection for one another. "And we yearn for the time when we can have an entire film together."

"That would be nice," Wilson said. But when asked about the long hiatus between films, Hoffman seemed to enjoy the break.

"I kind of like the blessed relief of not having to do another 'Fockers' for six years," he said with a chuckle.

"Yeah, I think it is nice to let it percolate," Wilson added.

The actresses who play onscreen mother and daughter noted that the passage of time has been met with many milestones, both in the film and in real life.

"Now we have children," Blythe Danner said. Gesturing to co-star Teri Polo, Danner continued, "She didn't have children in real life when we started 10 years ago. I didn't have grandchildren 10 years ago in real life. So we're mature women now. We've all matured, in positive and negative ways."

"Speak for yourself!" Polo joked about the "mature women" comment. "There's a dance, a familiarity, a dance, a rhythm, a song that you just fall back into," she said of coming back to work with her "Focker" castmates. "When you walk onto the set for the first time after five years and see Robert DeNiro, it's just awesome. Believe it or not, he's a warm man," Polo added. "He's a man of few words but very warm." Speaking of DeNiro, Stiller insisted his legendary co-star was happy for time away from him.

"He didn't miss me," Stiller said. "For me, it's always exciting to come to work with Mr. DeNiro. I feel like after 10 years I finally feel OK calling you 'Bob.' I finally feel like I'm not forcing that," he said. "It's always great to have a chance to work together, the whole cast, it's always fun to see everybody."

Check out everything we've got on "Little Fockers."
