Chief executive of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority Graham Sheffield announced yesterday that he?s quitting his post citing health reasons, five months after he took the job.
His short tenure and his quick pull-out knocked the wind out of Hong Kong pols, who are scrambling to hold an emergency meeting today to discuss the crisis.
But was this really that much of a surprise? After all, Sheffield?s predecessor, former Disney executive Angus Cheng Siu-chuen, quit after a week on the job citing "personal reasons."
That makes Sheffield the second top executive of the project to quit after a lightening-fast stint at the top.
